Phat Tuesday

Post by pace21 »

The fam is out of town. Planning to leave my house at 5:30 sharp, 30 minute meandering ride to the 6pm start, do the 25 mile ride, then 10-ish minutes (maybe some extra credit?) back to my house. Will be 40-Ish miles total. Anyone is welcome to park at my place and join. If we have critical mass I’ll get some beer and food.

Probably won't make it to your house but I'll be at the start. It would be nice to get a big MRC turnout some night.

How hard is this ride? On a scale of 1 to bullet train

I've never done the bullet train so I can't compare. It depends on who shows up, but sometimes it can be a hard ride. Generally speaking I can stay with the lead group most times. There are 3 or 4 sections people attack in order to split the group. Here's my Strava from last week, 1st 30 min was a warm-up to the ride.

If BT is a 10 and WNR ranges from 7-9 then Phat will be an 8ish. I plan to go hard.

I had my all time peak 60 minute NP last Tuesday FWIW

Nice. Thanks for the info, helps me figure out what to do today (or rather, not do). Chris hopefully I can ride with you from your place to get the extra miles.

Yup, sure thing. That goes for anyone if they want to start/end at my place, regardless of whether or not we do any apres-bike

I have an appointment after work so I won't be able to to make it, but I most likely would be otherwise. Especially since the weather is looking iffy for the WNR.
