9/1, Long Berkshire Ride

Post by mfwestbe »

I think I'm going to head out to the Berkshires on Saturday, probably doing the boondoggle route (looks like maybe the pick day of the weekend?) Figured I'd post up here in case anyone else is interested in joining. Probably clip in around 8:30 or so from Berkshire east in charlemont. I missed doing the ride in May, so trying to do it before some of those roads get covered in leaves.

Rethinking the start time; probably leaving about 7, which means clip about 9. It's a long ride, but still probably return about 6 or 7. Happy to pick you up if you decide you want to go.
I think this is the route, though it has a small kink in Lanesboro. I will probably add an up and down of East hawley at the end, bc I'm feeling that wack right now. https://ridewithgps.com/trips/1370917

Looks like a great ride. I've ridden some of those hills in Florida, but never made it to Greylock. I would join except I have to drop my son off at college on Saturday.

From this direction is a fairly staunch climb; the early part is toughest, but after that point is fairly steady, especially if you have a compact. After Kingsley it's not even that steep... anyhow, pm me if you do go out so we can connect via text.

Neil, sorry to hear about that lol. Hope it's not in the Boston circus
