FMR 4/13 6:15am Cafe Norma

Post by Mkidd3 »

Hey Ya'll, now that we have the WNR starting (still mad I missed it) lets get the FMR going. For those that have done the FMR from years past and remember the original starting point of Tazza Doro or Cannoli Cafe, well it's not called Cafe Norma at 35 Solomon Pond Rd, Northborough

6:15am start? to give the sun a chance to come up a bit.

Thoughts??

The two previous incarnations at that location sucked, and everyone seems to like Lala Java so why change?

Because it's closer to my office... it's all about me Kev!

We noticed it was open again, why not give it a shot. Also, its actual new owners of the restaurant. Or so I'm told...

Couches!

But seriously heads up that the Green Street descent is really bombed out so be careful. Also not sure of the quality of the road for the sprint, haven’t been on it for a while.

Kid duty in the morning so I am out

Smudgers corner is full of sand as usual... I'll drive the sprint section on my way home from the office.

Also, when is Green street NOT bombed out??

So far so good... Coffee was good, Tea was good (per Busick). There weren't any muffins, they did have pastry's though. No couches, sorry Pare.

This mornign was 1hr 45min. With more riders and in FMR shape (read, dropping bombs) the times will be quicker. Also, the start time will move back to 6am eventually.

Does it have to move to 6? The “official” FMR (you know, the one in zwift) starts at 6:15

Also KT, “indoor seating” is another factor. Less of an issue in the summer obviously but these days...
