Any chance we can extend the deadline so I can give it a crack?

The prizes can't be extended, but Strava TT glory goes on forever.

Got out for one final attempt today and while a lot better at 25:15, still well off the fastest times. Nice job Dave - super impressive! And happy birthday!

Thanks (on both accounts)! That's a solid time with the wind conditions/direction today.
The temps, dewpoints and wind today were all very similar to my first attempt which was 25:01.

Oh, and just heard from Westy that Rees is out on the course. I was only kidding about the birthday comment above and besides if he takes it down in these conditions today that's a well-earned jacket!

Yep, happy b day Dave! I decided I couldn't not do the challenge because I know these roads so well. Anyhow, real training has been erh, lacking the past few weeks but my effort ended up decently solid considering that. Was shooting for 25 minutes, but wind sucked the life out of downhills I'm usually almost spinning out on. But hey, c'est la vie. 25:40.
Ran into Rees on my way home heading up for a little workout effort...

I'd like to thank everyone for participating in the Skinnyphat TT as part of the MRCCOVID series. While I'm saddened that I'm no longer the master of my domain (or in this case my TT), I'm equally impressed and proud that so many people took pleasure in trying to beat me. For the record, 3 individuals earned prizes (but keep reading) as follows:

1) Rees - Mingori poked the bear a little and Rees took no mercy on him and the rest of the field, dropping a bomb on the competition on the last day. Rees has earned himself an MRC Director's Jacket. Rees feel free to order it and I will paypal (or Venmo) you the money. You are responsible for shipping charges (I have my limits) :) Email me the cost and your paypal or venmo address.
2) Mingori and Ben earned free socks (see below on redemption instructions)

BONUS

Because I'm a nice guy, I am extending prizes to anyone who beat my 2019 best time of 26:11, and also to the current QoM holder. So....

Free Socks go to: Pare, AJP, Fintan, Westberry, Ian and Alice.

Redemption instructions: I have paid the club for the socks. You just need to contact Oscar and arrange pickup delivery (and fees associated with this are your sole responsibility). I'd recommend buying some additional socks to make the process worthwhile.

Again thank you for participating. Now on to the COVID climbing challenge!!!!
