Post by ltolman »

Sunday, Oct. 1, 2023 – KING’S TOUR OF THE QUABBIN – with new start/finish location and gravel options!

REGISTER at https://www.bikereg.com/quabbin2023

Start/finish: Hardwick Winery, 3305 Greenwich Road, Hardwick, MA

Cost: $40 for Seven Hills Wheelmen members, $50 for nonmembers, until 11:59 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27.
On-site registration on ride day costs $10 more.
All four routes go to the Quabbin tower, with amazing views of the Quabbin Reservoir. For the first time, the road metric goes all the way around the reservoir. The road century goes to South Deerfield, where the summit of Mount Sugarloaf offers stunning views of the Connecticut River.

Both gravel routes emerge from the woods at the east end of Goodnough Dike for a paved section that includes the Quabbin tower.

Fritz’s Bicycle Shop repair tent will be at the rest stop on Route 202 in Pelham, which is on all four routes. Road century riders get $5 toward food/drink at Leverett Village Co-op. The Petersham Common rest stop is on both road routes, about 15 miles from the finish.

It’s not a race.

Start times: 7:00-9:00 a.m.

We’ll have Table Talk Pies at the finish. We expect a food truck and entertainment at the finish. All riders get $5 off any Hardwick Winery purchase on Oct. 1.
