But I thought the SkinnyPhat 2019 time was the target?!? I've already made room in my sock drawer!

Rough go of it today. Rookie move I forgot my shoe covers. Probably cost me the fastest time. 30:29

26:51. Midway on Walnut St. I hear a very loud freewheel closing in behind me. I think I picked up my pace after Chris passed me.

Nothing I can recall although I was deep in the cave. Certainly nothing that impeded my progress.

Man that course is beautiful! Century Mill is one of the prettiest roads I've ridden.

Gave it my best tonight, but only managed 25:42. Would like to get back for another attempt - we'll see if its in the cards.

Any advice on how to get the Garmin to pick up the segment? I tried a few times from different starting points, but it kept reading off segment...

It did that for me too AJ. It was annoying but in the end I just rode to RPE. I think the error may have had something to do with the start and end at the same point from different directions.

Out of 3 times on the course it worked for me once, so I'm thinking it has to do with GPS signal/drift. Maybe Century Mill is a funky area.
Of course that really isn't very helpful...

4 Days left. I got new socks from Oscar and they are lovely. Also Rees are you going to let Mingori win the Director's Jacket? Boos you have at least 4 more tries left in you correct?

Thanks for the vote of confidence Cratty!
My birthday is on the 31st, so I say if Rees doesn't take it back by end of day Saturday then it's an early gift :D
Just applies to Rees; anyone else the 31st is still fair game!

It's all about the socks!
Alice says she'll keep her socks unused and extend the challenge another 2 weeks (thru 6/14) to any MRC women that beat her time. Will add an MRC water bottle (the clear version) to the mix:

Socks plus the water bottle to the best MRC women's time
MRC water bottle (clear version) to any MRC woman to beat her time.

Did I have 7 more seconds in me? The way I was feeling this morning and during the ride... Answer, no. Almost gave up halfway through. Deceptive course.
