P.S. On a more personal note, many of you know my work position was terminated and my severance package is running out soon. If this proposed venue takes off not only will New England have a sweet outdoor exercise facility with lights and within a reasonable drive, I will be employed and my family and I would run the facility year round. A quick recap of how this came about. After the estate that I managed sold I had the idea of buying a property that was set up for year round outdoor sports activities, which I would manage and maintain. Thinking that I could use my career skills to run the venue and our cycling connections to hold high level races of all disciplines. While providing a home base for our new TEAM CF. It seemed to be a great dream. In my research of xc skiing and what is involved with snowmaking and lighting I got in touch with the Weston ski track. They in turn told me about CNENC. We met a few times to see if it would be a good fit for us to work together, and both decided it seems to be a match. Basically they had the winter end covered and I had their off season covered. They had a kick butt business plan and I had the skills to maintain such a property which they hadn’t had a person in mind to run the proposed facility. They have xc ski connections and I have cycling connections so it all seems to be a great fit. Even if I find new employment before this takes off I will be doing all I can to help with this idea since I think it would be a terrific asset to New England and the sport we love so much cyclocross! I mean cycling. haha
