Me too. The Pirate talked me into it. Bad TT conditions. Happy with my watts, time wasn't great but it was really slow going out, made up a lot on the back stretch. 23:44 (and I'll take the 5 sec lead on Rees knowing its probably short lived)

First ever CBTT attempt yesterday and man was it hard! Went out a little too hot I think and could barely make 200W once I hit River. At 24:06, will need to drop time a bit before I'm in the beer :) Will be back for sure.

Nice job AJ. Yep, not in the beer yet. I am hoping to make another attempt this weekend too.

Attempt #2 today and made some progress - 23:46! Believe that puts me in the beer for the moment :)

The Rules:
NOT ALLOWED: TT Helmet, Aero/TT/Tri/Clip On Bars, disc wheels, drafting
Allowed: Aero-road gear, Aero helmet, skin suit, shoe covers (obviously)

And BTW running at the start would be very awkward I'm not sure it would help...

A standing start on a strava segment does not work, Strava can pick up the segment before you actually start moving.

So my time is actually better than what the Strava segment says 🤘

Potentially, you would have to analyze it on strava to see. View your segment analytics based on time instead of distance and you will see if strava picked up any standing around time for the segment.

30 seconds faster on the first stretch, 25 seconds slower at the finish. I am quite sure I can snatch back those 25 seconds to at least get into the 24s.

A coffee would be nice. I just wanted to keep trying until I got there. Tuesday will probably be my last crack at it.

got an attempt in today, finally. Was feeling 1/2 rested, and when I checked this morning, it looked like <5mph winds from the north. This was fake news, and the back half going south felt much harder.
Also, there was a lot of traffic to navigate. The Carlisle turnaround cost me time because cars were having to wait to pass slower moving cyclists. But mainly, I need to get more aero with my position. Watts were there for under 24minutes. I suppose though, rules don't say e-bikes aren't allowed... 24:15. https://www.strava.com/activities/3352896005

Also, turns out this was the tour de Boston day for the CBTT, too, and I don't feel bad about 7/51 today. Tate rocked 21:17, but Mr. Luttick I believe earned some beer...
