TJWF Pre-Ride; Monday, 7/1 @12:30

Post by djming »

Okay, time for some course inspecting and to get a good idea of road conditions!
Here's the plan:
Meet at Brewery, with a rollout by 12:30. Park either in the lower dirt lot or across the street in the grass field (new overflow parking). Don't take up spots in the main paved lots.
We will do last year's full long course - https://ridewithgps.com/routes/28022700
Bring CASH (no cards accepted...) for the Templeton General Store (or we can skip that stop and use Hubbardston Center which is the halfway)
Food and Beer after!

Weather - simply showers and we'll still go. Steady rain or certainly T-storms and we'll reschedule.
No-drop/full regroup ride. People are free to hit sections as hard as they want but for the most part we'll keep it all together.

Who's in (aside from me :D )?

Forgot to add in the original post about tire selection for those that didn't ride last year. There are 6 different dirt sections totaling 6-7 miles plus one stretch of VERY rough "pavement". 25's are fine, a couple made it sans-flat on 23's last year. Just have good tires but bring a couple spare tubes. The up part on North Rd (mile 60'sh) I haven't been on this year. That will be the toughest section on standard road tires.

BTW I know I asked for this time, but I'm 50/50. Hoping work doesn't get in the way.

Well, so did Ian so as long as at least one of you shows :D

Hey, looks like Monday will be the pick of the next few weather-wise.
Who else wants in on bikes, burgers and beers?

Last call for tomorrow @12:30 rollout.
So far me, Ian, Ethan & Ron.
Dave Dz a hopeful.

Who else? Jeremy - status?

Reminder - park at the Brewery but we will use the lower small dirt lot or across the street in the overflow field. It shouldn't be so busy on a Monday that we need to overflow.
