(Black and) Blue in Green Mountains

Post by Bruce »

My cross comeback suffered an unoprepared, unpreridden and greasy date with humility. Reality sucks -- things just don't come around as quickly at 50+. So why'm I similin :)

Cause by the third lap the 2 wheel slides weren't freaking me out and I'll take that into my next race.
Cause it was a great workout.
Cause I actually had a chance to enjoy the view of the mountains.
Cause of all the great spectators who had lots of encouraging and sympathetic things to say (except the guy who said "hang it up old geezer").
Cause Burlington is one of the best little cities anywhere.
Cause I'd do it again in a heartbeat (and plan to next year)..it's on!

Gotta love the positive attitude. Can't say I suffer from that all the time, but I admire it.
